The energetic and charismatic front-man from Kentucky has been leading the popular Swampabilly band Junkyard Jane - a group which has seven CDs in release - for over 17 years, while Stoops’ roots rockin’ combo Billy Roy Danger & the Rectifiers offer an edgier, and more ruckus outlet for the diverse entertainer. In addition to performances with his two ensemble groups, Billy showcases his poignant songwriting and softer side by performing acoustic solo with nothing but a voice, a lone guitar, and occasional harmonica. In this scaled-down format the listener will be mesmerized - often going from tears to laughter all in the same set.

Billy delights and amuses audiences with his rich, soulful voice and on-stage antics. His distinctive guitar style, both electric and acoustic, along with his groove-oriented songwriting garnered him a Tacoma Music Award for "Male Performer of the Year."
